  • Continue their education by upgrading to the Open Water Diver certification
Course overview

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

. Dive theory to understand basic principles of scuba diving

. Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills

. Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore !

Course structure

The course takes 2 days – 1 day of theory and shallow water skills training followed by 1 day of training in the open water with 2 training dives.

             .Knowledge development

You will be introduced to basic scuba theory by watching some videos, reading and answering the questions in your manual. Your instructor will review the material with you to ensure complete understanding.

             .Skills training in shallow water

Right off the beaches around Ko Lipe and the surrounding islands we have calm, clear, pool-like conditions in which to learn and practice the basic scuba skills you will need to master. Your instructor will explain and slowly demonstrate each and every skill for you and give you enough time to practice. You will also have to demonstrate the ability to swim.

             .Open water training dives

During your course you will participate in 2 open water training dives which will last approximately 45 minutes, depending on air consumption. These dives will take you to a maximum depth of 12 meters / 40 feet. The first dive does not include any formal skills and will help you to acclimatize to the new environment. During the second dive you will apply the skills you have already mastered in shallow water, combined with a guided tour of the reef.
